Apple and Strawberry Crumble

This Apple and Strawberry Crumble combines the flavours of fall: cinnamon, nutmeg and apple with the added sweetness of fresh strawberries. The tender strawberries and apples make for a juicy bite, while the nuttiness of the rolled oats, sweetness of the brown sugar, and crispness of the Harvest Crunch creates the perfect contrast of textures. This may not be a traditional oats-only crumble, I think you’ll agree that it’s crunch and flavour are far superior to the original.

  • 2 cups Harvest Crunch cereal
  • 2 cups Rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups Brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cups Butter room temperature
  • 3 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg

Fruit Filling

  • 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 4 Apples peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Strawberries halved

Instructions

  • Pre heat your oven to 350 F.
  • Peel & thinly slice your apples and halve your strawberries.

  • Place them in a bowl and toss them with the flour and cinnamon until coated.

  • Mix your dry ingredients in a bowl then cut in your butter. Blend the crumble between your fingers until it's evenly mixed.

  • Place your apple mixture in the baking pan and cover them evenly with your crisp mixture.
