Barbeque Sauce
- 2 1/2 cups Passata
- 1/2 cup Tomato paste
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1/3 cup White sugar
- 1 tbsp White sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 1/2 tsp Mustard powder
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 pinch White pepper
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Ribs
- 5 lbs Bone in pork ribs
- Kosher Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Barbeque Sauce
Mix all the ingredients together in a small sauce pan.
Bring to a boil on high, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
Ribs
Preheat oven to 450 F.
Season the ribs with salt and pepper then lay fat side down on a lined baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 10.
Instant Pot Ribs
Cut your ribs into chunks and place them into your instant pot, pouring the sauce over top.
Mix the sauce and ribs until they are coated and covered.
Cover the Instant Pot and turn it to high pressure and set the timer to 45 minutes.
Remove the ribs from the pot and place them on a baking pan
Turn the oven to broil and caramelize the ribs for 7 minutes on high heat.
While the ribs are caramelizing, turn the Instant Pot to sautee and reduce the remaining sauce.
Brush the sauce onto your ribs and serve.
